What is Biosystems technology

Basically, biology means studying life. This word derives from the Greek word where “bios” is life and “ logos” is study.

system is a collection of parts that work together to complete a specific task. Hence you know that biosystem is not a simple thing. Yeah, it is a complex topic where we can talk and learn many aspects. Once you separate the parts of the car into the engine, tyers, body we can say each part as a car but once these parts are integrated, it is a car, and it functions as a car. This is very similar to a system and biosystem also functions like this.

Another example is a living cell.

Life is marvelous. Animals, plants and fungus are the living things that are visible. Bacteria, virus and other microorganisms are living things that are not visible to our naked eye.

There are a few characteristics that are displayed by living things (life). By these., Living things and non-living things can be distinguished.

  • Life can work: creatures take food/energy from the outer environment. This energy is converted fuel for metabolic reactions inside the body. Even so there are some creatures who can produce their own food inside them

  Ex : photosynthesis


  • Life can reproduce: it is a wonderful process to make the next generation
  • Life can respond: life has the ability to respond and reply to each response.

        Ex: once you touch a hot object you will immediately take your hand away from that hot object.             But you didn’t do it voluntarily. it did happen involuntarily. It is functioning by the nerves system

  • Life can grow and develop: growth means getting sized up to a certain level whereas developing is the ability to rebuild and repair themselves.
  • Life can adopt: life can make changes and be resilient to different difficult environments
